Billie Eilish continues to take it all before her after she was announced as the youngest solo Glastonbury headliner ever. The 19-year-old hitmaker will take to the festival’s famous Pyramid Stage at next year’s event.
After two years without Glasto due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this is good news for music fans. Glastonbury co-host Emily Eavis took to Instagram to reveal Elish will be one of the festival’s headliners. Eavis posted a photo of Eilish wearing a Glastonbury hoodie with the caption:
“We couldn’t be more excited to announce that the amazing Billie Eilish will headline Pyramid on Friday at next year’s Glastonbury Festival, becoming the youngest solo artist in our history. This looks like the perfect way for us to get back and I can’t wait!”
Eilish made her debut at the festival in 2019, where she performed on the Other stage after being upgraded from a spot on the iconic John Peel stage.
News of Eilish’s featured placement is another success for the Californian, whose most recent album, Happier than everreceived widespread acclaim from critics and fans.
Additional headliners are expected to be announced in the coming months with Glastonbury taking place at Worthy Farm from Wednesday, June 22 to Sunday, June 26, 2022. Tickets are already on sale run out of.
