EA Sports has given football fans a first look at the next installment in its popular football series FIFA. Promising “the most authentic and engaging gameplay experience in soccer,” FIFA 22 is shaping up as another blockbuster success. When you consider how fans have received the last few releases, it’s time for EA to step up and deliver a game worthy of the hype.
France and PSG striker Kylian Mbappé once again appears on the cover alongside current legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, as EA Sports uses HyperMotion technology to create the most realistic gaming experience. For the first time, 22 professional footballers took part in high-intensity activities wearing the xsens suits, with the data collected being used to make the gameplay as vivid as possible.
“FIFA 22 giving millions of fans around the world the opportunity to engage with the sport they love in an unprecedented way,” said Nick Wlodyka, General Manager of EA Sports FIFA. “Every player experiences it FIFA in their own way but the play on the field is the unifying constant, so we’re happy to deliver deep innovation there. HyperMotion takes that even further on next-gen consoles and Stadia, and completely changes the feel of the game.”
There are over 4,000 new animations that each player can show off, a more tactical AI system, new algorithms allowing for smoother frame rates and better ball control. Game modes include; Career modes, VOLTA FOOTBALL, Pro Club and FIFA Ultimate Team include goalkeeper rebuilds and the introduction of FIFA Ultimate Team heroes.
FIFA 22 There will be 17,000 players from 700 teams from all the world’s biggest leagues, including the Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga.
It is available for pre-order on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X/S, Origin, Steam, Stadia and Xbox One. HyperMotion technology will only be available on next-gen consoles: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia.
It will be available from October 1, although EA Play members will get early trial access and monthly in-game rewards.
