However, sometimes you may post a story that you later regret sharing and want to delete. Luckily, there’s a simple solution to delete stories you don’t want your friends or followers to see anymore.
While Snapchat’s defining feature is that messages disappear automatically, stories are a different case. They last 24 hours, making it especially important to know how to remove them if necessary.

How to delete Snapchat story
The ability to delete snaps from your Snapchat story is quite simple and can be done in just a few taps. Just simply do the following:
- Open Snapchat.
- Tap your profile icon in the upper left corner.
- Click ‘My Story’ to see your Snapchat story.
- Press and hold on the snap you want to delete.
- Tap the trash icon on the bottom left and click ‘Delete’.
Once you’ve confirmed deletion, the selected photo will be deleted and no longer visible to your friends. You should double-check to make sure it has been deleted.
At the time of writing, Snapchat doesn’t offer the option to delete the entire story in one go, so just repeat steps four and five for all the snaps you want to delete.
