The 32nd SEA Games in men’s basketball returned on the evening of May 8 with the gold medal belonging to Indonesia, host Cambodia won the silver medal and Vietnam received the bronze medal. Following the men’s event, the women’s event will take place from September 5 to May 14 at the Main Hall in the NTD House, Cambodia.

This year, the SEA Games organizers have received a historic number of registered teams with 8 participating countries (including home). The participating teams will be divided into 2 groups: host Cambodia, runner-up Vietnam, Philippines and Singapore in Group B.
