Back in 2022, TikToker’s Chef Pii went viral with his “pink sauce” condiment causing people everywhere to rush to order a bottle.

After the product reached customers, TikToker was criticized for food safety concerns related to the type of ingredients, shipping process, and confusing nutrition labels. Since then, she has sold the product to a large company, which has reworked the formula and put it in Walmart.

Fast forward to August 2023, when Pink Sauce creator started fundraising on GoFundMe, she said she was completely exhausted. YouTuber MoistCr1TiKal reacted to the news and suggested that maybe Pink Sauce wasn’t selling well at all.

The GoFundMe description states that Chef Pii has not received the royalties she owes and that she is facing eviction for not having the money.

Just a day after the news about GoFundMe broke, MoistCr1TiKal shared that he thinks TikToker might not get the money because the product is not monetized.

“It’s been a while since anyone cared about Pink Sauce,” he said, “it’s a completely overhyped product. “Being at Walmart doesn’t necessarily mean it will do well. I think it’s very likely that Pink Sauce really didn’t sell at all and Chef Pii thinks so.”

Daves Gourmet, the company from which Chef sold Pink Sauce also spoke out about these claims.

“We disagree with Ms. Shaw’s allegations,” the company said in a statement, adding that it “complied with the terms of its settlement with Ms. Shaw”.
