Tom Sizemore Was Rushed To Hospital After Suffering From A Brain Aneurysm

Tom Sizemore, the star of Saving Private Ryan, was recently hospitalized after suffering a brain aneurysm. His representative recognized him and said he needed to be admitted to the intensive care unit. Tom’s manager, Charles Lago, stated in a statement to Fox News:

“He has been admitted to the hospital. His family is aware of the situation and wishes him the best. It’s too early to speculate [a] recovery scenario since it is in critical condition and is being monitored.”

According to Charles, an anonymous stranger noticed Tom Sizemore, 61, unconscious in his residence and immediately notified police.

While Tom Sizemore remains in critical care, the causes, prevention and symptoms of brain aneurysms are being investigated.

A person has a brain aneurysm if they have a severe headache or other symptoms that could be related to a ruptured aneurysm. Some tests can detect bleeding in the space between the brain and surrounding tissues, while other tests can determine if there are symptoms of an unruptured brain aneurysm. Some methods can be used to address the problem. The first is a surgical clipping, in which the neurosurgeon removes a portion of the skull to access the aneurysm and locate the blood supply feeding the aneurysm. To stop the flow of blood, a small metal clip will be placed around the neck of the aneurysm.

Endovascular therapy involves inserting a catheter into an artery and passing it throughout the body to the aneurysm. To demolish the aneurysm from within the blood artery, a device such as a flow diverter, intraluminal flow switch, stent, coils, or a combination of multiple devices is used. Therapies for burst brain aneurysms include pain relievers, calcium channel blockers, interventions to prevent strokes due to inadequate blood supply, anti-seizure medications, ventricular or lumbar drainage catheters, bypass surgery, and rehabilitation therapy.

Robert De Niro helped Tom Sizemore start treatment.

Tom Sizemore, who acquired a heroin addiction at a young age, failed drug tests while on parole in 2005. He was also on parole when he was arrested in 2007 on methamphetamine possession charges. In a 2013 interview, he said that he began to sober up after being persuaded by actor Robert De Niro, who also took him to treatment. Sizemore told Access Hollywood in an interview,

“I walked in to see my therapist and there were all these people there… I sit down, and Bob walks in and says, ‘Okay. “Now we can chat… Now listen to me, I’m not a psychiatrist… So you either go to rehab or go to jail, and then a cop shows up.”

Tom Sizemore said he laughed about it at first, but De Niro threatened him with a year in jail. The latter reportedly promised Sizemore that he would take him to rehab on a private jet, but Sizemore recommended waiting until they wrapped production on the crime thriller Heat. Sizemore revealed that he filmed the final scene of Heat and had intended to attend treatment, but instead he went to a hotel and checked in under a different identity. He also said De Niro was able to track him down. Tom Sizemore is well known for his roles in films such as Passenger 57, Born on the Fourth of July, Zyzzyx Road, Black Hawk Down, Natural Born Killers and many more.
