Twice made K-pop history with the record of extending their position on the Billboard 200

Twice debuted on the Billboard 200 with a new mini-album and expanded on the record they had previously broken themselves.

Twice debuted in 2015 and nearly a decade later, they have proven themselves to be a powerful entity in the K-pop scene.

From the beginning, they swept the Billboard 200 and other charts on their way to world domination.

With their latest project With YOU-th, the famous girl group not only ranked high on the album chart but also set a new record.

Twice proves its strength on the Billboard 200 chart

Twice’s With YOU-th debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with sales of an admirable 95,000 equivalent album units. In a surprising move, the album also topped the Top Album Sales chart with 90,000 physical copies sold.

Even more impressive, Twice’s With YOU-th became the group’s first No.1 since their debut nearly 10 years ago. Furthermore, the album extends the record they hold for most Top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 for any female K-pop artist in history.

With YOU-th the focus is mainly on emotional catchy music, as the group always does, but “the message is a little different,” group member Jihyo explains. In particular, songs like ‘Feel Special’ detail how they “went through some tough times” and “how we were able to persevere through it all”.

“I think this album focuses on our current state of happiness, after everything we’ve been through,” she added. “I think it also shows our growth and progress over time.”

On March 16, Twice will head to Las Vegas for a one-night-only event. “Let’s celebrate Twice’s fifth Ready to Be world tour together and make this a night we’ll never forget,” the band said in a statement.

The concert took place shortly after the band finished their world tour in Latin America.
