Twitch streamer caused a car accident just after using his phone while driving

Streamer Melt was live on Twitch when he crashed his car, shortly after he was seen using his phone while driving.

On April 1, Twitch streamer MeltIsLIVE, known as ‘Melt’, streamed IRL as he drove around at night.

During Melt’s livestream, he frequently interacts with his chat while driving, before continuing to use his phone and show a message he just received from someone to his viewers.

“’About everything I love,’ she just texted me. ‘Above everything.’ Chat waiting. Let me pull over quickly so Twitch doesn’t attack me.”

Just seconds later, as he tried to park his car, the streamer crashed into another car. He picked up the camera, left the car and repeatedly shouted: “Brother, come on, man! Come on, man! Oh my God, oh my God! Come on, man!”

He showed his Twitch audience the significant damage to the front of his car, then approached the other driver who collided with him: “You’re not going to say anything, right? Dude, aren’t you going to say anything? What are you talking about? You won’t say anything, man? You just kicked my ass, you bastard!”

Instead, they leave Melt and can be heard talking on the phone explaining the situation to someone else. “Brother, come on, brother! I just got my shit, man! The streamer added after further inspection of the damage.

Despite later in the broadcast asking his mods to remove VOD footage of the incident, Melt later Banned by Twitch.

Neither Twitch nor Melt have confirmed the reason for the ban, but it is said to violate Twitch’s Community Guidelines regarding “dangerous or distracted driving, including phone use” on stream.
