Lala Kent claims some of the Vanderpump Rules cast members may have bought social media followers and explains who could be guilty of doing so.

Vanderpump Rules became the most popular show on cable TV after “Scandoval,” sending the cast rocketing to fame.

In a clip reposted on Reddit from her Give Them Lala podcast, Lala accused several actors of buying their social media followers, specifically Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix.

She took a look at the Instagram accounts of the most followed actors and said that if a person has a large number of “inactive followers,” also known as “bots,” they are probably fake pretend.

Lala first visited Katie’s Instagram page, which had 1.63 million followers and 43,600 inactive followers.

She compared Katie’s follower count to her own, saying she has 2.36 million followers and 0 inactive followers.

Lala also noticed that a while ago Ariana had 1.35 million followers, her inactive follower count was 707,000.

James Kennedy, Ally Lewber and Scheana Shay all had a lot of inactive followers when she checked, but Lala wouldn’t confirm or deny whether she thought they had been bought.

Vanderpump Rules fans commented on the Reddit post and believe that Lala made these statements because she is not currently friends with Katie and Ariana.

“I just don’t think Ariana would need to do that. She has a fan base from VPR and Dancing with the Stars, plus Scandoval overall. She will also benefit more from Love Island,” the original poster wrote.

“I think Lala is trying really hard to create drama with Ariana and Katie — and I love that neither of them falls for her BS as a role model. There’s a reason why Lauren doesn’t have many female friends, haha,” another fan added.

“I think these statistics are very unreliable for people. Maybe they bought followers at some point but I think the methods used to identify that person are not reliable,” a third fan said.

Whether Katie and Ariana bought followers or not, fans think Lala is clearly jealous of their success.
