Devin Carter’s parents, Cassie and Anthony Carter, raised him and his younger brother Joshua in Miami. Devin and his younger brother, Joshua Carter, were very close growing up and the two spent a lot of time together. However, basketball was always the focal point of Devin’s life. Devin was introduced to basketball at a young age thanks to his father, who had previously played in the NBA, and he has been hooked ever since. Devin’s love for basketball grew stronger as he grew older and he worked hard both on and off the court to improve his skills.
Devin is in his third year at Providence Collegiate and is off to a great start to his college basketball career, setting a career-high 16 points against Western Kentucky. Carter had a tremendous college basketball career at the University of South Carolina. Additionally, Anthony enjoyed a fantastic year at Brewster Academy in 2020-21, where he honed his skills before moving on to play junior high and high school basketball at Doral School.
Devin Carter’s parents
Devin Carter, a young basketball player, was born on March 18, 2002, the son of Anthony Carter and Cassie Burns. He grew up in Miami and played basketball with his younger brother. Carter never felt driven to play or be a star since his father helped him balance his goals. His father told him: “Don’t play basketball because I played it.” He was always there to instruct and train him, but he never pressured him to participate.
Devin also played football, baseball, and soccer. His father told him that you should only pursue something you like because you must do your best if you want to be successful. His mother, Cassie, is also supportive of his basketball careers. Carter is currently rated as a four-star recruit by ESPN.com, Rivals.com and 247Sports. He is also ranked 94th on ESPN.com, 92nd on Rivals.com and 86th on 247Sports.com.

Brother Joshua Carter
Joshua Carter, Devin Carter’s younger brother, loves basketball as much as his older brother. Joshua, like his father and his brother, participates in high school basketball.
