Woman gets stuck in toilet hole outside while trying to save Apple Watch

A woman was rescued on September 19 from an outside restroom in northern Michigan, after she became trapped trying to retrieve her Apple Watch.

In just a few years, smartwatches have become one of the most used accessories in the world.

From being able to track your heart rate and exercise routines to allowing you to take calls and respond to texts, many people are relying on their watches for a lot of things. Sometimes, it can be a little too much.

On September 19, a woman got stuck in an outside toilet at Lake Dixon in Michigan while trying to retrieve her Apple Watch that had fallen inside – leading to a bizarre rescue and warnings from police. Avoid searching the “containment area”.

Michigan State Police said the woman “lowered herself into the toilet to retrieve” the Apple watch she had dropped.

First responders were called when the woman was heard screaming for help. The toilet was removed and a rope was used to pull the woman out.

“She was in a mess,” Michigan State Police spokesman Derrick Carroll told the Detroit Free Press.

When State Police arrived, they removed the toilet before using a rope to pull the woman out safely.

Luckily it wasn’t all in vain as the woman got her watch back, UpNorthLive reported.

However, police have now asked people not to try to save belongings if they fall. They added that venturing into an outside restroom is usually not a good idea and warned against doing so.

“If you lose an item in an outside toilet, do not attempt to venture into the containment area. Serious injury is possible,” state police said.
