A flight attendant has gone viral on TikTok for sharing “blue flags” that highlight passengers as “really awesome.”
Flight attendant Destaine, who goes by ‘destanieaaa’ on TikTok, has found success on the social media platform by sharing what it’s like to work on a plane.
While many of her videos focus on the “negative experiences” she has had with passengers, Destaine is now revealing her favorite things flyers do.
And many basic manners, such as reacting when the crew welcomes you aboard; “It felt like I was really connecting with people… I felt like I never had a conversation with the passengers.”

Next on Destaine’s list is to actually pay attention, such as when asked to put a bag in the overhead bin on their side. This includes being willing to take orders during service, being generally respectful, and not wearing headphones when talking to flight attendants.

Children with good manners also made Destaine’s list; “There are so many sassy kids these days… when the kids are well-behaved, I really think ‘I think I really want to have kids.’”
Destaine’s favorite green flag, however, is when a passenger rings the bell after someone causes trouble for the flight crew; “I like when one passenger is giving me a hard time and another passenger is observing it and then they joke about it.”

Calling these situations “funny,” Destaine explains that it’s nice to be ‘seen’ during difficult times at work.
Last but not least, Destaine noted that she likes married men who are “not too friendly” with flight attendants. “The times guys tried to talk to me, they always had a ring on their finger,” she explained.
