A Starbucks barista wrote a ‘love letter’ to a customer who used to come to the store every day and was heartbroken when they left. Sharing the letter online, it received a lot of support.

“You are homeless. But you didn’t tell us. You’ve been coming to see us every day for months, sitting and talking with us. Every evening, you walk around the store, picking up cups, plates, and straw wrappers from the floor. You are nothing but smiles around us. Every night, you stay until we close. We close earlier than any other place in town, but you stay with us because you like us.

To commemorate the customer, the bartender made their favorite drink: “My shift and I made your last drink tonight, just the way you like it. An iced venti green tea latte with ten scoops of matcha, placed directly over ice, with a domed lid. I always thought that was odd, but you said you liked the resulting matcha pieces.
“I poured the milk and pulled out the box of matcha so it wouldn’t get all over the counter. I went to get an ice spoon and collapsed. My supervisor completed it. All night long, I looked at the table you always sat at, right in the corner, and you were smiling at me. I tried your drink tonight through tears.

After the Starbucks barista posted this, people couldn’t hold back their emotions.
“I didn’t expect to cry on the Starbucks thread tonight,” one person replied.
