YouTuber YourFellowArab detailed the 17 days he was kidnapped in Haiti in a tell-all interview with his brother.

YouTuber and streamer YourFellowArab made headlines in late March after it was revealed that he had been kidnapped by the 400 Mawozo gang in Haiti.

A ransom of $600,000 was demanded for his release, however, he was later released unconditionally without paying the ransom, returned home and denied rumors that the kidnapping was fake.

Now, in an exclusive interview posted to Arab’s YouTube channel with brother Eddie Maalouf, the pair opened up about how the kidnapping happened and delved into the Arabs’ time as hostages in Haiti.

In an interview lasting nearly three and a half hours, the YouTuber described how “eight guys with AK guns” stopped his car after entering Haiti.

Taken to a “cement compound with barbed wire” along with Sean Roubens Jean Sacra, a Haitian repairman with whom the Arab was traveling, the pair were arrested by gang leader Lanmò Sanjou – who remains under arrest by the FBI. wanted, interrogated.

Trying to say he was not involved in the kidnapping, Arab said he showed his previous videos and shared plans to interview mob boss Jimmy ‘Barbecue’ Cherizier; “At this point, I’m trying to survive.”

Eddie tried to reduce the ransom amount and explained that the most difficult problem encountered was not accumulating the money but finding a way to transfer it. Arab also told viewers that he would be “ruined” if he did not share his location with his family while traveling. Eddie agrees, saying, “We’ve known which house you’ve been at this whole time.”

Arab said he continued to communicate via text message, deleting messages to avoid suspicion from the kidnappers and trying to make the day pass faster. During his detention, Arab was also expected to “entertain” by dancing and making jokes, while Sean was “serving alcohol.”

“Positiveness saved my life there,” Arab said. “I was one of the only people who escaped the kidnapping without being affected by this guy… they didn’t touch me.”

Meanwhile, Eddie is looking for the best way to free his brother with many plans ready to execute. However, after the exchange of a certain amount of ransom, Arab was still not released.

Ultimately, Arab and Sean were released without paying any additional ransom after Barbecue intervened and demanded their release. Upon returning to the US, Arab said he was arrested for questioning and his phone was examined.

Arab went on to apologize for putting his loved ones through such a traumatic ordeal, thanking them for their hard work to bring him home safely and affirming that his brother was “already rescue”.
