FaZe Banks is one of the founders of the organization and will return as CEO.
Banks said FaZe Clan has cut 110 employees and plans to downsize the company further during the rebranding process.
In October 2023, GameSquare, owner of Code Red Esports and Complexity Gaming, acquired FaZe Clan, returning the three original members to positions of power. One of those members was Banks, who would become CEO of FaZe Clan.
Banks shared his plans to rebrand FaZe Clan after being named CEO, claiming that everyone in the organization was “fired” because of his promotion. He has now confirmed on a podcast that he followed through on this statement, leading to significant downsizing of the company.

FaZe Clan has gone from 140 employees to just 30, and Banks says that ideally he’d like to see that number reduced to 10 in the future. But employees aren’t the only ones banks hope to cut. The excessive number of content creators may also be cut down.

“We pay members to put FaZe in their name…it doesn’t work. It sucks, I don’t want to be a part of that, it doesn’t benefit either side,” Banks said in the podcast.

“I understand what he is saying. Look at OTV, the reason why they (somehow) lasted so long is because they kept a small, tight-knit roster and everyone was on the same page like what he was envisioning content here. He wants FaZe to be more like them than 100T.” explained one commenter.
While FaZe Clan has a number of content creators under its brand, this may not last long if Banks is serious about reducing the size of the organization. However, as of now, there has been no mass exodus of FaZe Clan creators.
