Playoff Pass tickets were just given to 4 lucky contestants of season 25 of The Voice, making viewers angry.
Season 25 feels like it’s just begun, but we’re already in the Playoffs. This is where the singers from each team compete in duets and then their team coach has to make a decision as to who will move on in the competition and who will be sent home.
However, before the Playoff performances, each coach will be issued a so-called Playoff Pass. This is essentially a non-competitive card as whoever receives this card will not have to participate in the Playoffs and will automatically advance to the next round.

Although the person receiving this ticket is often very nervous, most viewers do not think it has any meaning.

On April 6, fans of The Voice took to Reddit to express their disappointment over Playoff Pass.

One fan wrote: “Yes, the real winner is the one who gets a ticket to the playoffs. In a way, it is the highest compliment an artist can receive from a coach before the knockout rounds because they get to go straight into the knockout round without the risk of being eliminated.”
Another fan chimed in and wrote: “This is why I think making the playoffs is stupid and they should go back to giving each coach one “save.”

“Personally, I think artists who make it through the knockout stages are really at a disadvantage, especially if they can’t get past the rounds where America votes. And that’s STILL a disadvantage because they’re wasting implementation time and tech time. Not to mention the time spent in front of viewers,” an audience member also commented.
