Dashers advise customers to wait for the “order completed” notification to avoid having their photos taken.

A DoorDash driver went viral after they were told to get a ‘real job’. They clapped back that they actually make “more money than your boss.”

“Why would I get a real job when I make more money than your boss? You see W-2 people like this brainwashed into thinking, ‘Oh just because he does DoorDash [he] probably won’t make much money.” But at the end of the day, not only do I make more money than your boss, but I also pay a lot less in taxes than you,” they wrote in the text of the video.

This happened after people called him out and told him to get a ‘real job’.

“When we receive the order, it shows the base salary and tip there, so we can choose to accept or decline it,” EVdash said in the video. “So technically we’re still looking for tips, but at the end of the day, we’re only accepting orders that are truly worth our time.”

On the DoorDash website, they claim that workers receive 100% of the tips they are given, along with their base salary and promotions.

The whole incident became a hot topic after the video was posted, making many people skeptical about the TikToker’s statement.

“Let’s take it down 20 notches,” one person commented. “I don’t think you have a clue how much people actually make.”

“I don’t think you know how much WE make,” the poster responded.

“You don’t make more money than my boss,” another said. “I promise if DoorDash paid 200k a year, we would all do it,” they clapped back.

However, one person defended the person who posted the video and wrote: “I never understand when someone says ‘Get a real job’— anything you get paid to do is a job.”

Another DoorDash driver went viral when they decided to eat a customer’s food after they didn’t tip.
